Edwin Rwigi is a programme officer at Fahamu Africa’s Tuliwaza programme that seeks to strengthen and nurture social movements for social justice in Africa through learning and research for change. He manages the Emerging Powers in Africa project, which provides an Afro-centric analysis platform for civil society, media and the grassroots in articulating South-South development partnerships. He has keen interests in inclusive governance and public advocacy in development policy processes. He has experience working with grassroots organizations and social movements focusing on participatory governance and democratization processes for inclusive and progressive social change. He is also an enthusiast of alternative media for social justice advocacy. Edwin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons) in Sociology and Philosophy and is currently undertaking his M.A. in Development Studies at the Institute for Development Studies based at the University of Nairobi.
