Simon Oginni is a pan-African scholar from Atakunmasa, in the eastern part of Ilesha in south-western Nigeria. He has received several awards for his contribution to youth development in Nigeria and Africa, both through scholarly publications and his involvement in civil society organisations. Oginni is co-founder and CEO of Youth Network for Development and Integration of Africa and doubles as a research consultant on Women’s Health and Adolescents Development. His interests include governance, Africa economic integration, public policy, gender studies and digital forensic and criminal investigation (financing terrorism). Oginni is currently on a scholarship award from the African Union Commission, and is studying for an MSc in Governance and Regional Integration at the Pan African University Institute, and a Masters degree in Forensic Accounting and Criminal Investigation at IICFP.
